Agency owner, Harold Levine, has a long history of running successful small businesses.
Growing up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and having attended the University of Southern Mississippi, Harold moved to San Antonio in 1969 became co-owner of an independent bookstore chain which, at its peak, had 30 locations across the state of Texas. After departing with his share of the company, Harold moved directly into the ownership and operation of a retail clothing store. This eventually led to him opening the third ever Polo Ralph Lauren shop and becoming the sixth largest seller of young men's Polo merchandise in the country, including larger department stores.
In 1990, Harold moved into the transportation industry. With his focus on providing "outrageous" service, Harold thrived by consistently offering a better customer experience than his larger competitors, growing his fleet of passenger vans and other vehicles to 300 strong. Afterward, Harold started up in the insurance industry in January of 2005. He embarked on his next entrepreneurial venture in August of 2008 when he opened Bluebonnet Independent Insurance Center, retaining his unparalleled work ethic and commitment to "outrageous" service.
Harold's attitude toward service does not stop at the business level. He applies the same practices that have made him so successful as an entrepreneur when giving back to his communities. Harold has served in both the Mississippi and Texas National Guard, and the Army Reserves. He is also a member of the Board of Jewish Family Services and the Temple Beth-El Brotherhood, as well as serving in the San Antonio chapters of the United Way, Rotary International, and the Organization for Jewish War Veterans.
